Butte Foundation Scholarships (Continuing Students)
Butte College sponsors and supports many scholarships each term that are available to all students including international students. Please keep in mind that it is a competitive process and there is never a guarantee of receiving a scholarship, however you can re-apply if you do not receive it. Scholarships cannot be used for the admission process.
On Campus Jobs
International students on an F-1 visa are eligible to work on campus only. Many of our students are employed in various offices around campus. Employment is limited to 20 hours per week during a semester. Students can search for on-campus job opportunities on the Job Board or by visiting the Job Placement Office in the Student Services building, room 258.
Students who have completed their academic program are permitted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to apply for temporary employment (1 year) that is directly related to the F-1 student's major area of study. Please review the presentation about OPT and the OPT Request Form before you schedule an appointment with your advisor to discuss your options.
